Terms of Service
1. License Grant
Upon purchase, you receive a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use Geneziz for personal or commercial purposes. Your license key (GNZ-XXXX-... or GNZD-XXXX-...) activates AI credits and is tied to a single user, with activation on up to 3 devices.
2. What You May Do
- Use Geneziz to archive content from your own accounts and feeds (X.com, GitHub, YouTube, Instagram, Reddit, Hacker News, RSS feeds, and supported save/export tools)
- Use the AI features with your own API keys (BYOK) or with Geneziz Cloud credits
- Export and back up your data at any time
- Use the web viewer and dashboard for personal knowledge management
3. What You May Not Do
- Resell, redistribute, or share your license key
- Forge, generate, or attempt to reverse-engineer license keys or activation codes
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or tamper with the license validation system
- Use the product to collect data from accounts or feeds you do not own or are not authorized to access
- Use the product in violation of the terms of service of any platform you access with it
4. AI Credits
- Each license includes 2,000 AI credits.
- Additional credits can be purchased in-app as top-up packs
- The $99 license fee is refundable within 30 days (see §10). Upon refund, all credits are deactivated. Top-up credit packs are not covered by the 30-day guarantee. Unused credits do not expire.
- Credit usage is tracked locally and server-side for cloud proxy usage.
5. Disclaimer of Warranty
Geneziz is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, express or implied.
- Uninterrupted or error-free operation
- Compatibility with future changes to third-party platforms' interfaces and APIs
- Availability of the Geneziz Cloud proxy server
- Accuracy of AI-generated enrichments or descriptions
6. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Geneziz and its developer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from the use of this product. Total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the license.
7. Data Responsibility
Geneziz accesses third-party platforms solely through (a) your own authenticated session in your browser via the companion extension, or (b) official platform APIs — always on your behalf, for content you already have access to. No captured content ever passes through Geneziz servers.
You are solely responsible for:
- Maintaining the security of your platform credentials stored in the local config file
- Backing up your knowledge base data
- Complying with applicable laws regarding the data you collect and process
- Ensuring your use of each platform complies with that platform's terms of service — the choice of how you use your own accounts is yours
8. Age Restriction
Geneziz is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 13. By using this product, you represent that you are at least 13 years old. If you are under 16 and in the EU, you must obtain parental or guardian consent before using this product.
9. Termination
We reserve the right to revoke license keys that are used in violation of these terms. Upon termination, you must delete all copies of the software. Your data remains yours.
10. Refund Policy
30-Day Money-Back Guarantee. If you are not satisfied with Geneziz, you may request a full refund of the $99 license fee within 30 days of purchase by emailing support@geneziz.app with your order email and license key. Upon refund, your license key is permanently deactivated and all AI credits are deactivated. We acknowledge within 2 business days and process within 10 business days; the refund appears on your card within 5-10 business days. We may decline to offer the voluntary guarantee on subsequent purchases after a first refund, at our discretion. Top-up credit packs are not covered by this voluntary guarantee. This guarantee is offered in addition to, not in lieu of, your statutory consumer rights (EU 14-day right of withdrawal, 2-year conformity guarantee; Brazil CDC 7-day arrependimento).
11. Changes to Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
12. Governing Law
These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Portugal, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. For consumers, nothing in these terms reduces the mandatory protection afforded by the consumer-protection laws of your country of habitual residence (Rome I Regulation Art. 6; EU Consumer Rights Directive 2011/83/EU; Brazil CDC Art. 49).
